Ok this is just gay! But I am loving their album and the fact that they seem to share the same philosophies with MGMT. Their new album, Walking On a Dream" is out now!

Los Campesinos \ Titus Andronicus Recap
I had a blast at this show. This band knows how to have fun. And the crowd was totally into it. The venue was a great place to see them. The Parish right on 6th Street in downtown Austin. We were on the second floor above a bar. If I had been in that bar at the time of the concert I would have lefted! The more rockin the show got, the more the floor on the second floor of that old building began to give. I swear at some points in the show with 300 kids jumping up and down the floor was giving at least 2 or 3 inches. It made you want to start planning your escape route if the floor suddenly gave away. But the floor held and the show rocked. Titus put on a great show too. They just suffered from a crowd who really wanted to see Los Camp. They rocked the songs perfectly off the album. The seven of them are a tight band. If you get a chance to see these guy, dont hesitate!
Death to Los Campesinos!

Kings of Leon
This band of four also has three brothers. They really surprised me last year with their third release. They are focused. This video rocks.
Time Machine - The Groove That Just Won't Stop
This LA based rap group is the combination of three DJ's. Their music is fast and fun. Almost old school hip-hop, but with something all their own. The album is entitled "Life Is Expensive".
Annuals - Confess
I dont know about much these guys. I am going to check them out. I really dig the video. They kind of have a Verve\U2 thing going on?

Billy Joel - Miami 2017
This excellent song was released in 1976. A post apocolyptic look at New York. Every is leaving for Miami, the buildings are destroyed and they are watching the military blow up the Hudson Bridge. The album is real good, it is called Turnstiles.
Matt and Kim - Yea, Yeah
The more I watch this video the more I see! Catchy idea to a catchy song. I am loving the whole clean to dirty thing. Their album is just like this song. They are very infectious, but are like a more carefree White Stripes. Their album entitled Grand is out now!
Two Hours Traffic - Stuck For the Summer
This Canadian band put out this superb album last year. It is solid with catchy hooks and lofty lyrics. I recommend this album to anyone who wants some good driving music. The album is called Little Jabs!
Laura Izibor - From My Heart To Yours
Everyone needs some good soul. She seems to have a great sound. Her voice is very nice! Her brand new EP is out now "From My Heart To Yours"
Black Tide - The Freshman
I dont know what to think of these guys right now. But they have my attention. Sebastian Bach's son? The guitarist from Firehouse? I am confused. What year is this? I will be right back I have to go to the record store and buy this album while wearing my flannels and ripped jeans.
M83 - Kim and Jessie Live
I featured this guy last year on ONCE. Then they made my ONCE December best of 2008 list. This album is so cool I cant being to explain it. It is like atmospheric pop. Always dreamy. Always epic. And always mood capturing!

P.O.S. - Drumroll
Wow!! His album comes out in February. I cant wait to get it. I am going have this drum roll in my head all day!
K-os - Man I used to be
Not only is this song awesome! It is a fun video full of rubber legging. This Canadian Rapper put this single out in 2005. I am waiting for his next project. The album is called "Joyful Rebellion". Every song on the album is slick!
Stars - Take Me To The Riot
A great road trip! This band had a super album last year. I look forward to everything they put out! This is from "In the Bedroom After the War".
Los Campesinos - My Year In Lists \ We Are All Excellerated Readers\Death To Los Campesinos!
I am going to check out this band as well in Austin. I cannot wait! They have out out two of my favorite albums in the last year. They have a greta eclectic sound that really cranks! They are from Wales.
Titus Andronicus - Arms Against Atrophy
I am going to check these guys in Austin this weekend. I am loving the album it is so ugly. But if you listen real carefully all of the sudden it comes into focus. His warbly vocals make for the great irish tilt he has going on. Their debut album is out now! I will have a track on the ONCE February 2009 Mixtape.
Nat King Cole - Mona Lisa
This helped the movie of the same name in 1950 become a hit. The song stayed at number one for many weeks. He had a voice that was unlike none other. If you are looking for a great starter album, go to a compilation album entitled "Long Songs" that was released in 1993.
